Application Deadline: May 15, 2019 Eligibility Eligible Countries: Candidates from EU countries. Acceptable Course or Subjects: Ph.D. research in the field of migration and diversity policy research. Admissible Criteria: To be eligible for this grant, the applicant must hold a Master’s degree in political science, law, international relations, public policy, sociology or relevant social sciences with excellent study results, knowledge of additional languages is an asset, and have a thorough knowledge of the relevant academic literature. Applicant must have experience in conducting document analysis and research interviews, have the ability to communicate with stakeholders, among others high-level officials, be flexible, self-motivated and perseverant and knowledge of and travel experience in (West-) Africa are an asset for research theme 2. How to Apply How to apply: Interested candidates can apply for the award after taking admission in the Ph.D. degree at any Flemish university. After being enrolled in a Ph.D. degree, claimants need to download and submit the application form of the award and send by e-mail to [email protected] with all documents. Supporting Documents: Aspirants will be asked to provide the one-page motivation letter explaining the candidate’s interest in pursuing a Ph.D. on the chosen topic, curriculum vitae, relevant research experience, and previous publications, project proposal featuring a literature review, a research question, and proposed hypotheses, a methodological outline and indicative planning, condensed into no more than 3,000 words, contact details of at least two references and a copy of a publication. Admission Requirements: For admission in Ph.D. degree, students are required to have the certificates of the highest diploma obtained and transcript of academic grades and research experience. Language Requirement: Seekers fluent and have excellent communications skills in English. Knowledge of additional languages is an asset. Benefits The program will provide the remuneration of a full-time research assistant at a Flemish university approximately € 2.000 net per month.
